About Us

Promised Land CSA has evolved from our family farm’s desire to produce healthy, affordable, chemical free food. Back in the 90’s we began to fully comprehend the direct relationship the food we ate had on our overall health and well being. We understood that the health of our soil, crops and ourselves was our own responsibility and so we began the process of eliminating the use of all herbicides, pesticides and synthetic based fertilizers. We realized the importance of transitioning to a more holistic and sustainable approach to farming our land. As a result of putting organic practices to work we believe that our land is healthier and so are we! Sustainable practices include the use of cover crops, composting, and crop rotation to improve the health of the soil. As the health of the soil improves, so do the plants and the surrounding ecosystem. This harmony creates an environment that results in more nutritious and delicious produce of all kinds. It is our desire to continue to explore and implement ever better growing and management practices so that we can raise more flavorful and nutrient dense vegetables, herbs and fruit to share with our CSA community. Our CSA welcomes you to come out and walk the fields, talk with us and see our “grow”.
